Donal O'Halloran
Donal was born and reared in Cork, Ireland and graduated from University College Cork in 1992 as a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. He moved to Cornwall on graduating and joined Penryn Dental Practice as an Associate to Colin Drummond, purchasing the Practice from him in May 1994.
Donal practises all aspects of General Dentistry and has a specialist interest in Dental Implants, Oral Surgery and in treating nervous patients. He has been placing dental implants since 2001 and is currently studying for a Diploma in Advanced Surgical and Prosthodontic Implantology at the Eastman Dental Institute, London.
Donal also has a permanent part-time post as a Staff Grade Oral Surgeon at Treliske Hospital, Truro. He works there two days a week carrying out all forms of oral surgery under both general and local anaesthesia.
His interest in treating nervous patients goes back to 1994 when he took his training in treating patients using intravenous sedation. He now regularly treats nervous patients for both routine and advanced dental procedures.
Donal is a keen sportsman and takes part in a wide variety of sports from golf and tennis to triathlons, sailing and windsurfing. He has represented both Ireland and Great Britain at International sailing and windsurfing competitions.
He is married and has four daughters.
